Reinforced Polyester Mat

GENERAL INFORMATION

Reinforced Polyester Mat is an improved carrier material for bituminous waterproofing membrane. This material is produced with long fiber or short fiber polyester mat, reinforced with glass fiber filament/thread, to increase the tensile strength and tear resistance during high speed processing and installation.

APPLICATION

Compared with non-reinforced polyester mat, the reinforced material has higher tensile & tearing strength, which enables it to be applied in high speed production (with high on-line mechanical tension). The finished bituminous waterproofing membrane has better performance, especially when applied in cold regions, to avoid gapping problem in the joint area due to thermal contraction.
